First published on February 28, 2025, by TikTok user @capybarawt, the character is the fourth most popular brainrot by some rankings, with 2.62 million Google search results. The original video has since been taken down, but the character’s legacy is firmly established across the community.

Visually, Lirili Larila is a towering two-legged elephant with a body made entirely of green cactus, complete with spines. Instead of elephant feet, its legs end in oversized beach sandals. It wanders a desert setting that includes floating hot air balloons, seashells, and a mysterious floating alarm clock. According to fan lore, the character can grow up to 15 to 18 feet tall.

Lirili Larila’s most distinctive trait is its alleged ability to control time through the floating alarm clock that accompanies it. This power has made it one of the most formidable characters in fan battle scenarios, defeating opponents including Tung Tung Tung Sahur and Tralalero Tralala. Wikipedia describes the character simply as a bipedal cactus-elephant hybrid wearing sandals, one of a handful of brainrots individually named on the encyclopedia page.

In the hottest part of the Sahara, where no rain has fallen for a thousand years, a baby elephant was born beneath a cactus grove. The desert sun was merciless, and the calf should have perished.
